About

Academic Coaching from a teacher’s perspective.

I know that school and managing all its nuances can be a struggle.  When students struggle in school, it is a stress on the whole family.  It is an overwhelming feeling, and often families don’t know where to turn, or how to get help.  I love helping students and families focus on academics, organization, time management and solutions on how to get back on track and gain the academic confidence they need to succeed.

After 20 years teaching in Bay Area classrooms, I realized there is a need to help students beyond the classroom, who want to take charge of their academic progress and achieve the success they want. I’ve always had a passion for organizing all aspects of life for my family and others, so this, together with my education background, I’m able to support the whole student and their family.

I was born and raised in the Bay Area.  I began teaching in 1997 after receiving my undergraduate and California Teaching Credential from St. Mary’s College.   I spent over 20 years in the classroom then decided to embark on a new career of Academic Coaching.

When I’m not coaching, (currently my son would say that is never), I enjoy spending time with my husband and kids.  I have a daughter in college and a son in high school. We all enjoy the beach and mountains! I’m also a pretty avid golfer and my goal is to have a lower score than my son!  I haven’t achieved that yet!
