Why Academic Coaching?

Academic coaching helps students organize their academic life, improve study skills and manage their time more efficiently. I work with college students to improve executive functioning, enabling them to achieve balance, reduce stress, and gain confidence in their ability to succeed. 

Academic coaching can be tailored to the needs of any student. It can be especially useful for students with ADHD, learning difficulties, anxiety and depression. It can also help motivated students who need extra support with the increased academic and organizational challenges that educational transitions bring.

As a California Credentialed teacher with 20 years experience teaching in Bay Area schools, I realized there is a need to help students beyond the classroom. I became a Certified Anti-Boring Learning Lab Coach so that I could combine my passions for education, organization, and supporting families. When someone is struggling in school, it can be an overwhelming feeling, and I specialize in helping students take charge of their academic progress and achieve the success they want. 

When I’m not coaching, you can find me golfing, hiking with friends or doing Pilates. My husband and I enjoy our electric bikes and riding with friends all over town.  We spend time with our two adult children and travel with them whenever we can.
